GORDON, Neb. (AP) — A 16-year-old boy has been killed in a collision at a Nebraska Panhandle highway intersection.
The collision occurred around 8 p.m. Wednesday, about a mile north of Gordon in Sheridan County. The Nebraska State Patrol says Lane Malmberg was driving west on 670th when he didn’t halt at a stop sign controlling the intersection with Nebraska Highway 27. The patrol says a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Robert Murgo on Highway 27 then struck Malmberg’s vehicle, killing him. The patrol says Murgo received minor injuries.
Malmberg was a student at Gordon-Rushville High School.
