NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) — Work has resumed on development of a 50-mile natural gas pipeline dubbed the Northeast Nebraska Line that will run from Bancroft to Norfolk.
Black Hills Energy first announced the project last year after a Houston-based company said it planned to build a manufacturing plant in Norfolk. But falling oil prices interrupted those plans.
This fall, OCT Pipe announced its plans to build and operate a manufacturing facility in Norfolk, and work on the pipeline began anew to supply OCT with natural gas.
Black Hills Energy has already determined the natural gas line’s route from Bancroft and completed preliminary reviews. Black Hills is also working with landowners along the route and expects to begin construction in the spring.
