LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a suspected bomb that was found inside a wall at a Nebraska apartment complex.
The device was discovered Friday by workers who were removing drywall from a third-floor Lincoln apartment. Workers took the bomb outside, where firefighters examined it.
Lincoln firefighters searched the apartment but didn’t find any other explosions. No one was hurt.
Fire investigator Damon Robbins says authorities believe the bomb was built and set by a past tenant whose lease wasn’t renewed three or four months ago. Workers also found several hiding places inside the drywall that Robbins believes were used to store drugs.
Lincoln police are waiting to begin their investigation until more details about the device are known.
