A 24-year-old North Platte man has died following a one-vehicle crash northeast of town, and authorities say it appears alcohol was a factor.

On January 3 at around 2:16 a.m., deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a one-vehicle accident on East Rolling Hills Road.

Investigators say the vehicle, driven by Kristian Woodhouse, was southbound on Rolling Hills Road when it failed to negotiate a curve, went out of control, up an embankment and rolled on its top.

Woodhouse was partially ejected from the vehicle and became pinned underneath it.  Deputies say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three females, who were also in the vehicle, sustained minor injuries.

Authorities say it does appear that alcohol was a factor in the crash which remains under investigation.
