Grand Island Man Pleads Guilty to Stabbing Teen in Aurora

gavel-and-scaleAURORA, Neb. (AP) — A Grand Island man accused of stabbing a teenager in an Aurora park has entered a plea in the case.

18-year-old Brayden Milhon pleaded no contest to second-degree assault Thursday.

In exchange for his plea, charges of terroristic threats and of use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony were dropped.

The charges stem from a June 15 stabbing. Court documents say that when police responded to the park, they found Milhon in a vehicle matching the description of the suspect’s and a knife in the trash.

Milhon told an officer that he had stabbed the victim, a minor, with a small knife. The officer later learned that Milhon and the victim had agreed to meet to fight.

Sentencing for Milhon is scheduled for Feb. 26.
