North Platte –The North Platte Community College Knights Softball team will travel to McCook on Tuesday, April 5th to face the McCook Community College Lady Indians in a Nebraska Community College Athletic Conference doubleheader.

The Knights are 12-21 on the season and 5-1 in the NCCAC. The Knights are led in hitting by Shelby Belloni with a .496 batting average. Belloni also has two home runs and has drove in 27 runs. Makenzi DeCrow leads the Knights in home runs with 11 and has driven in 32 runs. The 11 home runs is a Knights record breaking the previous record set by Brittney Odum and Sara Runia during the 2015 season.

The Knights as a team are hitting .420 and have 23 home runs.

The Lady Indians are 20-16 on the season and 3-1 in the NCCAC.

Mackenzie Bilger leads the Lady Indians with a .405 batting average. Bilger also leads the Lady Indians in home runs with four and runs batted in with 31. Samantha Kalinski is second on the Lady Indians with a .373 record and three home runs. Robin Harrison also has three home runs for the Lady Indians.

As a team, the Lady Indians are hitting .337 with 17 home runs.
