LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Law enforcement officials in southeast Nebraska say they’ve seized nearly 90 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Lincoln.
The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over a sport utility vehicle for a suspected traffic infraction Thursday afternoon. The office says the 34-year-old driver from Ithaca, New York, consented to a search of the SUV.
Deputies say they found two large bags and three pieces of luggage in the back of the SUV containing heat-sealed bags of marijuana, which had an estimated street value of $400,000.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of dealing marijuana.
