Alta Z. (Weber) Teeters-Johnson, 99, of Alliance, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord May 13, 2016, at 6 p.m. at Community Care Center in Alliance, Ohio.

Born on March 2, 1917, in Gandy to Samuel and Ada (Rogers) Weber, she lived in the Alliance, Ohio, area most of her life.

Alta was member of Beechwood United Methodist Church.

Alta was a homemaker and held various positions at several businesses, including the former Johnson’s Market in Alliance, Ohio.

She was a member and former president of the Beechwood Pioneers, former member and secretary of the Homeworth Art Club and treasurer of United Methodist Women’s Circle.

Alta enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking and especially baking pies. She also loved volunteering at church functions.

Alta’s family would like to thank all those who lovingly cared for her at Community Care Center.

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Arthur E. Teeters, Sr.; second husband, Chester A. Johnson; daughter, Wanda Jean Stuckey; father, Samuel Frederick Weber; mother, Ada Myrtle Weber; two grandchildren; four sisters; five brothers; and two sons-in-law.

Her memory will be cherished by three children, Wilda Kirk, of Alliance, Ohio, Barbara (Virgil) Holdren of Alliance, Ohio, Arthur (Edna) Teeters of Alliance, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Emma Wilson, of Newburg, Oregon; several nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at Beechwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation with family receiving friends will be from 10-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, at Beechwood United Methodist Church.

The Sharer-Stirling­Skivolocke Funeral Home, Alliance, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
