Rhonda Wiezorek, age 62 of North Platte, passed away July 31, 2016 at Great Plains Health after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born June 10, 1954 at Sutherland, NE to Clyde and Leona (Bryant) Anthony. Rhonda graduated from Paxton High School in 1973 and later attended North Platte Beauty Academy. She met Ron Wiezorek in the summer of 1973 and was later united in marriage on October 6, 1973. The couple made their home in North Platte, where he worked for the UPRR and she continued her education at North Platte Beauty Academy. They moved to Sarben in 1975 where they raised their sons, Dale and Wade. The family moved back to North Platte in 1986, where they owned and operated R & R Plumbing and Remodeling. Rhonda was also employed at North Platte Opportunity Center. Her hobbies included, volunteering, sewing, crafting, camping, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Ron Wiezorek; sons, Dale Rieley (Tiffany) Wiezorek, Wade Ryan (Stephanie) Wiezorek, and Joseph (Kasia) Wiezorek; brother, Larry Anthony; sisters, Linda Blackburn and Dianna Keeten; grandchildren, Adam, Ryan, Rieley, Taylor, Natalia, Olivia and Haylie; other relatives and many friends. Services will be 11:00 am Friday, August 5, 2016 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel with Pastor Fred Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Paxton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her memory. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
