Donald E. “Don” Musser

Donald E. “Don” Musser, 91, of Hooker County passed away October 16, 2016 at his home. Don was born June 23, 1925 to Sam and Minnie (Bassett) Musser in Grant County.
When he was three years old the family moved to a ranch between the forks of the Dismal River. They eventually bought a ranch south of the river where he continued to live and work until his passing.
Don loved ranching, fishing, hunting arrowheads, his dogs, but most of all his family. He married Daisy Lee on February 15, 1952, and to this union eleven children were born.
Don is survived by his wife Daisy of Tryon; children, Debbie, Cathy (Jerry) Moritz, Nick (Brenda), Randy (Kim), Shane (Barb), Kim (Gene) Simonton, Shari all of Tryon, Becki Medich, and Mitch Musser both of North Platte; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Griffith of Tryon, and Georgia Trout of North Platte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Minnie Musser; sons, Stacey and infant, Justin; sisters, Helen Morrow, and Elsie Fiorea; and a brother, Sam.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association and online condolences may be shared at www.adamsswanson.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. CDT, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Eclipse Church, 15 miles west and 16 miles north of Tryon with Pastor Marvin Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at the Eclipse Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
