LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — An Omaha teenager has been sentenced to prison for shooting a boy in Lincoln.
Online court records say 17-year-old Noah Molczyk on Monday was given 20 to 30 years in prison. He’d pleaded guilty after Lancaster County prosecutors reduced the assault and weapons charges. The records also say Molczyk waived his right to try to move the case to juvenile court.
Molczyk turns 18 on Dec. 29 and can enter a Nebraska prison for adults then. The boy he shot Jan. 22 was 14.
