NPCC Lady Knights Basketball to Play in Hawks Classic

NPCC Knights LogoNorth Platte – The North Platte Community College Lady Knights basketball team will travel to Norfolk to play in the Northeast Community College Hawk Classic on Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12.

The Lady Knights will face the Iowa Lakes Lady Lakers on Friday at 2 pm and then the Des Moines Area Community College Lady Bears on Saturday at noon.

The Lady Knights are 1-1 on the season after splitting their games at the Hampton Inn Classic this past weekend.  Thomesha Wilson, a sophomore from Omaha, leads the Lady Knights in scoring at 13.0 points per game. Sophomore Mickenzie Brennan and freshman Victoria Brown are second on the team in scoring with 8.0 points per game.  Brennan also leads the Lady Knights in rebounding at 7.0 rebounds per game.

The Lady Lakers are 2-0 on the season.  They have three averaging in double figures led by Lauryn Smith at 16.0 ppg.  Jackie Petrich is averaging 13.5 ppg and Mia Wassink is averaging 10.0 ppg.  Smith also averages 7.5 rebounds per game.

The Lady Bears are 1-1 on the season.  Aaliyah Brown is averaging 15.0 ppg.  Shayla Dean and Kelsey Pretz each are averaging 10.5 ppg. Angel Agoth has 9.5 rebounds per game.

All games will be played at the Cox Activity Center on the campus of Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
