Sheryl Renee (Marquette) Kackmeister, 62, of Union, NE passed away December 12, 2016 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Sheryl was born May 28, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN to Allan and Toni (Larson) Marquette.  She moved to North Platte from Minneapolis until she met the love of her life, Darrel Kackmeister.  The two were married June 3, 1995.  Sheryl was a very caring person who loved life to the fullest.  She loved living at Lake Waconda, loved entertaining, riding her golf cart around the lake with her dog Sofia, and pontoon rides.  She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allan; brothers, Randy, and Dan; and her father-in-law, Donald.

Survivors include her husband, Darrel; children, Traci (Chuck) Mathely, and Dan Totenhagen; her mother, Toni; sisters, Roxanne (Richard) Merksick, and Jody (Fred) Stanley; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and friends.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Chaplain Richard Karr officiating.  Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Ainsworth South Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
