Hooper Named Honorable Mention All-American

Nebraska sophomore forward Jordan Hooper was named an honorable-mention All-American by the Associated Press. Hooper led the Huskers in scoring, with 18.9 points per game, and rebounding, with 9.3 boards per contest. She finished fourth in the Big Ten in scoring and led the league in rebounding. During the season, Hooper reached the 1,000 career point plateau faster than any player in Nebraska history. She was an All-Big Ten first team selection and a WBCA All-Region 6 pick as well. Hooper is the first sophomore in Nebraska history to receive AP All-America honors, and only the second underclassman in school history to earn such an honor, joining Anna Deforge, who was an All-American as a junior in 1997. The Huskers finished the 2011-2012 season with a 24-9 record.
