The Nebraska softball team defeated Minnesota 5-4 in eight innings yesterday, rebounding from being swept in the series opening double-header on Saturday. Mattie Fowler’s two-run single in the top of the eighth gave the Huskers the lead, and ace pitcher Ashley Hageman struck out the side in the bottom half to preserve the win. The Huskers are now 21-14 on the season.
