Rockies Rout Giants With 22-Hit Barrage

A wild night at Coors Field saw the Colorado Rockies snap out of their early-season offensive funk in a big way. The Rockies blasted 22 hits in a 17-8 win over the San Francisco Giants at Coors Field. The offensive fireworks started early, as the Rockies jumped out to a 6-0 lead and chased Giants ace Tim Lincecum from the game in the third inning. The Giants would return the favor, knocking Rockies starter Jeremy Guthrie out in a seven-run fourth that gave them the lead. But the Rockies responded immediately with three runs in the fourth and then a seven-run frame of their own in the fifth. The Rockies snap a three-game losing streak with the victory, and look for a series win over the Giants this afternoon. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action, with pregame coverage at 1:30 and first pitch at 2:10.
