Christine Gulbranson

Christine Gulbranson, age 83, of Sutherland, formerly of Hershey,
Nebraska, passed away at home on Friday, October 19, 2018.

Christine was born February 23, 1935, at Butte, North Dakota, to Nick
and Theresa (Eisenreich) Semevolos and grew up and attended school in
Minot, North Dakota.

On November 11, 1950, Christine married Gerald Theodore Gulbranson in
Minot.  When Gerald enlisted in the U.S. Navy, Christine stayed in Minot
for three years then moved to Newport, Rhode Island to be with him.
Because of Gerald’s work, they lived in various places including
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, San Diego, California and Duluth, Minnesota before
moving to Nebraska in 1983 where they lived in Alliance and Hershey.
They later moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, Manassas, Virginia, Grafton,
North Dakota, Canyon City, Colorado, then back to Hershey where they
managed Hidden Acres Campground for many years.  After a fire destroyed
their home on June 15, 2018, they moved to Sutherland.

Christine was a hard worker.  She always helped Gerald in construction
and was the only woman in Wisconsin to have a high pressure boiler
license.  Christine was also creative and liked making jewelry for
herself and others.  She enjoyed feeding the wildlife and loved all her
cats and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald, of Sutherland; son, Loren
(Minerva) Gulbranson, of El Cajon, California; five grandchildren, Tara
Polley, Zoe Brooks and Rochelle, Andrew and Stephan Gulbranson; several
great-grandchildren; and other family.

Christine was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynell Simon; her
parents, Nick and Theresa Semevolos; and brother, Edwin Semevolos.

Cremation was chosen.  Memorial service will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday,
October 22, 2018, at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore with Pastor
Loren Gulbranson officiating.  The memorial book may be signed online at
odeanchapel.com or prior to the service at Odean Colonial Chapel at C &
Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements.
