Michael Dean ‘Fish’ Fischer

Michael Dean ‘Fish’ Fischer, of North Platte, passed away unexpectedly
on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the age of 49.

Mike was born September 7, 1969, at Ontario, Oregon, to Vernon Fredrick
and Bonnie Ruth (Thompson) Fischer.  The family later moved to North
Platte with dad’s job on the railroad.  Mike attended North Platte High
School and enjoyed playing baseball when he was young.  He went on to
work in lawn care with Sam Mohr then Mike Mohr before a disability
prevented him from working further.

Fish had a great love for his tattoos, fish and his dogs, but his love
for his mom was endless, she was most important to him.

He is survived by his father, Vernon, and his wife, Judith Slay Fischer,
of Nampa, Idaho; brother, Don and his wife, Coco Fischer, of Caldwell,
Idaho; his many friends including Mike Olsson, Joe and Krystal Cardenas,
and Andy Kelsey, all of North Platte; and other family.

Fish was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie.

Cremation was chosen.  The family will gather to greet friends and share
stories of Fish at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Odean Colonial
Chapel at C & Sycamore.  Condolences may be shared at odeanchapel.com.
