The Husker baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to Indiana in Bloomington yesterday afternoon. In Game One, the Huskers squandered an early two-run lead in a 7-5 loss. Pat Kelly and Chad Christensen homered for the Big Red, but an error and five walks by Husker pitchers in the game proved costly. The nightcap belonged to the Hoosiers as they won by a 9-6 score. Nebraska again took the early lead, but the Hoosier bats battered starting pitcher Zach Hirsch en route to a 6-1 lead after two innings. Cory Burleson drove in four runs to try and get the Huskers back in the game, but they could not get over the hump. The losses drop the Huskers to an even 9-9 in Big Ten conference play and 29-18 overall. Before resuming conference play with a home series against Minnesota this weekend, the Huskers visit Creighton tomorrow night.
