Rockies Open Series Against Streaking Reds (LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT on ESPN Radio 1410)

The Colorado Rockies open a three-game series in Cincinnati against the Reds tonight. The Rockies have slumped through a miserable May that has seen them lose 16 of 20 games. But the team hopes to have turned a corner after their last game, an 8-4 victory over the Marlins in Miami that snapped a six-game losing streak. Troy Tulowitzki homered twice and drove in seven runs in the three-game series as he tries to snap out of a personal month-long slump. Tonight, the Rockies send Christian Friedrich to the mound for his fourth career start. The lefty gave up eight earned runs in his last outing Saturday against Seattle, his first start at Coors Field. Cincinnati counters with their ace, Johnny Cueto. ESPN Radio 1410 has all the action tonight, with pregame coverage at 5:30 and the first pitch scheduled for 6:10.
