The Husker baseball team lived to fight another day at the Big Ten tournament after a 12-3 victory over Penn State in an elimination game yesterday in Columbus, Ohio. Nebraska broke the game open with three runs in the fifth inning and five more runs in the sixth, part of an 18-hit attack on the afternoon. Pat Kelly had four of those hits and drove in five runs. Richard Stock contributed three hits and three RBI to the cause, and Chad Christensen had two hits and drove in two. On the mound, Ryan Hander worked six and a third strong innings, allowing just two runs on seven hits while striking out seven. The Huskers take on Ohio State in another elimination contest this afternoon, with Dexter Spitsnogle tabbed to start on the mound. First pitch is set for 11:05. If Nebraska wins, they will play Michigan State immediately following.
