Rockies Take Rubber Game From Dodgers (LISTEN LIVE TONIGHT on ESPN Radio 1410)

The Colorado Rockies wrapped up a series victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers with a 3-2 victory Sunday afternoon at Coors Field. After scoring 55 runs in slugging their way to five wins in six games on their seven-game homestand, the Rockies won a pitchers’ duel Sunday behind the effort of Alex White. White worked six and two-thirds innings and allowed just two runs on two hits. The Rockies scored a run in the first inning and then tacked on two more in the sixth on an RBI single by Todd Helton and an RBI double by Jordan Pacheco. Rafael Betancourt worked a clean ninth inning for his tenth save of the season. The Rockies head out on the road for a quick three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks beginning tonight. ESPN Radio 1410 has the action, with pregame coverage at 8:05 and first pitch at 8:40.
