Grand Island Woman Accused of Vehicular Homicide

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (AP) — A 21-year-old Grand Island woman has been arrested, accused of vehicular homicide in the crash death of a motorcyclist.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office says Britteney Baker was arrested Tuesday.

Deputies say a car driven by Baker drifted across the center line on a county road northeast of Grand Island and struck a motorcycle a little before 3 p.m. The 80-year-old man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

No injuries to Baker have been reported.

Baker remains in Hall County jail. It’s unclear whether she has an attorney. Online court records don’t list the case yet.
