LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Police say one man is dead and another is injured after an overnight shooting in a Lincoln neighborhood.

Local media reports that a 41-year-old was killed and an 18-year-old was injured during the shooting late Wednesday. Police say an alleged hit-and-run accident led to a confrontation, which escalated to the shooting.

Neighbors who watched it unfold told the news station that the mother of a child who was reportedly hit was arguing with a motorist. One witness said a dark SUV pulled up in front of the house in Lincoln, and that at least three people got out and started shooting.
