Charlene Ann Sullivan


Charlene Ann Sullivan, 78, of North Platte, NE died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at Centennial Park Retirement Village in North Platte after a brief battle with cancer.

Charlene was born March 9, 1934, to Charles Leon and Cecelia Rose Becker Oman in North Platte where she grew up. She graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1952.

On July 9, 1952, Charlene married Leon Sullivan in North Platte where they made their home. To this union four children were born. Charlene worked as an assistant manager at Buffalo Bill Manor for 16 years and provided private nursing care for people in their homes.

Charlene is survived by her children, James (Chris) Sullivan, of Roanoke, VA, Kathy (Bryan) Bowman and Linda (Al) Fisher, all of North Platte and Kevin (special friend, Martha) Sullivan, of Benton, Louisiana; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cecelia Oman; a grandson, Travis Fisher; and a great-grandson, Kaden Gentleman.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in the North Platte Cemetery with Pastor Tom Wiles of the First Baptist Church officiating. The guest book may be signed at odeanchapel.com. Memorials are suggested to Relay For Life in lieu of flowers. The memorial book may be signed from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore. Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
