It might just be the marquee event of the entire Olympic games – the men’s 100 meter dash takes place today in London. Usain Bolt blew away the field with a world record time in Beijing in 2008, but he may not even be the fastest Jamaican in the field, as he lost the event to Yohan Blake in his country’s Olympic trials. Justin Gatlin represents the United States’ best hope in the event. Also in prime time, you’ll see the women’s 400 meter dash and the women’s triple jump. There will also be individual event finals in gymnastics – the men’s floor exercise and pommel horse, and the women’s vault, where American McKayla Maroney will try and show she’s the world’s best.
