Jerry Lienemann , 71, of North Platte passed away August 28, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 20, 1940 to Suntke & Helen (Wilcox) Lienemann at Bassett, Nebraska. Jerry graduated from North Platte High School in 1958 and attended Kearney State College for two years. He served in the U.S. Reserves at Ft. Gordon, Georgia and Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. He married Jane Hipwell at North Platte and they had three sons. He worked at Goodyear, Metropolitan Life, and Joe Dye Ford where he retired in 1998 as General Manager. Jerry married Linda Kirts on January 16, 1980. He enjoyed fishing, collecting, was a voracious reader, and especially cherished his family. Jerry is survived by his three sons, Mike (Marni) Lienemann of Scottsbluff, Eric (Carrie) Lienemann, and Scott (Cherish) Lienemann, all of North Platte, one brother Dennis (Judy) Lienemann of Murrells Inlet, SC., his grandchildren, Jason, MaKenzie, Taylin, and Brodie. Step children, Doug (Lori) Kirts and Elizabeth Stocksdale, step-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Karci, Aaron, Emily, his nephews, Garth and Chris and his furry companions, Jake & Max. There will be a Life Celebration where the family will receive friends on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel.
