Cabela’s Inc. is continuing its expansion with plans for a new store in Canada to sell sporting goods and outdoor gear.

The Sidney, Neb., company said Tuesday that it plans to build a 50,000-square-foot store in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. This is the fifth new store Cabela’s has announced since July.

Cabela’s says its new Saskatchewan store should open either in the fall of 2013 or spring of 2014. It will be the second store in Saskatchewan.

The new Cabela’s store will be an anchor tenant in the new Grasslands Shopping Centre being developed in Regina.

Cabela’s runs 38 stores across the United States and Canada. The company’s expansion plans now include two new stores this year, eight next year and three in 2014.
