The Colorado Rockies offense embraced the spirit of Labor Day and took the day off in a 6-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves. The Rockies managed just five hits against Braves starter Kris Medlen, who struck out 12 in a complete game effort. Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood only gave up three hits in his three innings of work, but allowed five runs thanks to five walks, an error and a wild pitch. Jordan Pacheco had the lone RBI for the Rockies in the losing effort. Tonight the Rockies and Braves play game two of their four-game series in Atlanta. First pitch is set for 6:10.
