A motorcyclist has died after crashing while fleeing Bellevue police. Police say 28-year-old James Sheard, of Omaha, refused to stop for a traffic violation Saturday afternoon, leading officers on a chase that reached speeds of 90 mph. Police called off the chase because of safety concerns but Sheard crashed into a pickup a few minutes later. Sheard died of his injuries.
