The fairgrounds in Ogallala will accommodate two county fairs this year: the regular one for Keith County and an irregular one for Garden County. The Garden County Fair Board has decided to move the fair to Ogallala, to run Aug. 4-7. The board decided the Garden County fairgrounds at Lewellen had too many problems to hold the fair there this year, including floodwater from the North Platte River. The Keith County Fair is scheduled to run Aug. 9-14.
