At 11:47 am, Deputies were asked to respond to the Sutherland Inlet, searcher reported he had found a human leg and foot. Deputies arrived, retrieved a human right foot and lower leg from the water. A local Anthropologist was called to the scene and examined the leg. After extensive examination it appears that the leg had been separated from the body by a boat propeller. DNA testing will be completed in the near future to confirm the leg and foot belong to Mr. Sack. It appears the current has moved Mr. Sack’s body from the NPPD Canal into the Sutherland Reservoir. Foul play is not suspected.
Sutherland Rescue was again called out and searched the Inlet and lake area. Divers were deployed into parts of the Inlet as well as underwater cameras. Sheriff Jerome Kramer and Deputies searched the inlet and lake in watercraft. Additional support around shore lines was obtained from concerned citizens.
