Michael Dee Deibert, 50, of North Platte, NE died Monday, September 17, 2012, at his home southwest of North Platte.
Michael was born August 14, 1962, at Lexington, NE to Kenneth Albert, Sr. and Donna ‘Darlene’ Black Deibert. Michael grew up in North Platte and graduated from North Platte High School in 1981. He later graduated with a degree from Mid Plains Community College.
On July 1, 1989, Michael married Brenda Horton and they made their home in North Platte, raising their son, Alan Deibert.
Michael worked for Central Nebraska Packing, Hershey Flying Service and most recently Wal-mart Distribution Center. He enjoyed traveling, collecting coins, shooting fire arms, listening to music and fishing with his dad and friends. Michael enjoyed time with his friends and family. He was always smiling, laughing, sharing a good joke and having a good time.
Michael is survived by his parents, Kenneth, Sr. and Darlene Deibert, of North Platte; a son, Alan Deibert; brothers, Danny (Linda) Heyer, of Arnaudville, LA, Dean (Teresa) Deibert, of Bostic, NC and Kenneth, Jr. (Olga) Deibert, of North Platte; a sister, Rebecca (Randall) Gilland, of North Platte; brother-in-law, Milo (Sharon) Klein, of Gregory, SD; numerous other family and friends including special friends, Rachel and Rueben Hernandez, of North Platte.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister, Patricia Klein.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be 2:30 Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Valley Christian Church with Pastor Brent Montgomery officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Hoxie Cemetery in Hoxie, KS. The memorial book may be signed at odeanchapel.com or from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore. The family has established a memorial to the Valley Christian Church. Odean Colonial Chapel At C & Sycamore is in charge of arrangements.
