Local Gym Invites You To Participate In Global Event, Hosted By 3rd Runner Up Miss Nebraska

National Gymnastics Day is Saturday September 22nd, how do you plan to celebrate? Starz School of Gymnastics of North Platte will be at the Platte River Mall for the global event “Turn The World Upside Down” to help raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Turn the World Upside Down refers to the hour everyone in participation turns upside down on a mat. Last year the upside down method was handstands, this year anything goes, such as handstand, handspring, cartwheel, somersaults or anything you can do safely. If you’re not the best at gymnastics worry not! Certified gymnastic instructors will be there to supervise and assure safety!

Gyms from all over the world participate in Turn the World Upside Down, at 12 Noon when everyone is upside down, a photo will be taken and uploaded to USA Gymnastics Facebook page.

Children ages 2-18 are invited to show off tumbling skills, a tumbling pass on the 24’ mat requires a minimum of $5 donation to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Miss Douglas County and third runner-up to Miss Nebraska Meghan Thalken will be there to host the event, sign autographs and help out the participants!

The event starts at 11am and ends at 3pm

Miss Thalken had a word with North Platte Post for an interview where she discusses her title of third runner-up Miss Nebraska, a little about herself and explains Turn the World Upside Down.
