The nearly three week search for missing North Platte man Larry Sack, depending on autopsy results, has ended.
A body of a man was found near 8pm Thursday by a fisherman according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office who called law enforcement. The body was retrieved from the south end of the inlet by the Sutherland dive team when they responded to the call.
The body is missing a leg. On Sep. 13th, and human foot and leg were found in the water around the inlet. It was determined by an anthropologist that the leg was severed from its body via boat propeller.
The body is being sent to Gibbon to undergo an autopsy for identification purposes. Testing was canceled for tissue sample of the leg that had been sent to Omaha.
