The Colorado Rockies continue to stagger towards the finish line in the 2012 season. They lost their ninth straight game, 10-7 to the Arizona Diamondbacks at Coors Field yesterday afternoon. The Rockies came back from an early 3-0 deficit and took a 4-3 lead on a Charlie Blackmon RBI single in the sixth inning. But Arizona scored four times in the eighth and three more times in the ninth off the exhausted Rockies bullpen. Colorado scored three times in the ninth to make the final score appear more respectable. For the Rockies offensively, Wilin Rosario and DJ LeMaiheu had three hits apiece. It’s the fourth-straight three hit game for Rosario. Blackmon and Tyler Colvin each had two RBI. The Rockies conclude their four game series against the Diamondbacks tonight.
