WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) – The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska will get $108,000 in grants to study its long-term energy options. The funding is among $6.3 million in grants announced Thursday by the U.S. Department of Energy. The money will be handed out over the next two years and help tribes carry out 31 projects. The Ponca grant will help the tribe develop a strategic energy plan and identify possible clean energy sources.
