William Foy “Bill” Clark, age 72 of North Platte, passed away December 24, 2012 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
Bill was born October 26, 1940 to Delbert “Doc” Valentine and Inez L. Clark at Rushville, NE. He spent much of his youth in Valentine, Norfolk and Omaha, graduating from North High School with the Class of 1960, before moving to North Platte in 1960. He served in the Army from 1966 to 1968. On May 24, 1969 he married Kathryn R. “Kathy” Deen in North Platte.
Bill was a member of the Masonic Temple. Throughout his adult life he worked for Bee Line Motor Freight, McDonalds Department store, Colson Advertising, KODY, Hord Printing, Buffalo Printing and Adams and Swanson Funeral Home. He retired in late 2000, shortly before receiving a heart transplant.
Bill is survived by his wife Kathy of North Platte; children Christie (Doug) Friedman of Flagstaff, AZ, and Allen of Wayne; siblings Kay (Doug) Downs of Hershey and Robert of Scribner; grandson Grady William Friedman of Flagstaff, AZ; sisters-in-law Kay Pueppka of Ballwin, MO and Deb Trott of Cheyenne, WY; brother-in-law Dennis (Charlene) Deen of Petaluma, CA; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Doc & Inez Clark; parents-in-law Frank and Phyllis Deen; and brothers-in-law Dennis Pueppka and Mike Trott.
In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the National Fragile X Foundation www.fragilex.org. Online condolences may be made at www.adamsswanson.com. Funeral services will be Monday December 31, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in North Platte. Burial will follow at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be noon until 9:00 p.m. Friday, and noon until 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Adams and Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
