Mary Jo Marshall, age 66 of North Platte, died December 29, 2012 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
Mary Jo was born on October 8, 1946 in Rushville, NE to Herman and Lucille (McGannon) Arthur.
She graduated from Assumption Academy in Chadron in 1965. She moved to Denver for a short while before moving back to Chadron where she married Lou Marshall on October 14, 1967. Over the years, the couple lived in Oelrick, SD, and several Nebraska towns including Harrison, Hay Springs, Kearney and Cozad, where she worked at Warnke State Farm Insurance. In 1991 they moved to North Platte where she worked with Wayne Johnson and Jim Waldschmidt at State Farm Insurance. She currently was working for Bill Burbach State Farm Insurance.
Mary Jo was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, she enjoyed sewing, wine collecting and traveling, especially in the Black Hills.
Survivors include her husband Lou of North Platte; daughters Karen Woldt of Cozad, Deanna (Casey) Wilson of Cozad and Deborah (Terence) McIntyre of North Platte; a sister Patty (Jerry) Nebel of Denver; brothers Paul (Mary) Arthur of Rapid City, SD and Tim (Deb) Arthur of Aurora, NE; sister-in-law Shirley Arthur of Hastings; brother and sister-in-law Harry (Linda) Marshall; sister and brother-in-law Jan (Bruce) Garner; grandchildren Brandon and Rylee Woldt, Heather, Cody, Jarod and Timothy Wilson, and Katie McIntyre; and numerous other family members and friends.

Christian Wake Services will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday January 2, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 3, 2013 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with the Reverend James Golka as Celebrant. Inurnment will be in Chadron, NE. Those wishing to do so may sign the register book Monday and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
