As expected, Nebraska’s Big Ten debut under Tim Miles wasn’t pretty, and wasn’t close. The eighth-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes manhandled the Huskers from start to finish in a 70-44 blowout in Columbus. The Buckeyes closed the first half on a 14-2 run and led 36-17 at the half, and things would only get worse for the Big Red, who trailed by as many as 31 points in the second 20 minutes. The Huskers were held to 30.4% shooting from the field and missed 15 of their 21 three-point attempts. Ray Gallegos was the only Husker to reach double-figures in scoring with 14 points. To make matters worse for Nebraska, starting center Andre Almeida left the game in the first half with an ankle injury that is expected to keep him sidelined for a while. The Huskers fall to 9-5 with the loss. They host Wisconsin Sunday afternoon.
