The Colorado Rockies were one strike from opening their homestand on a high note, but John Mayberry’s pinch-hit two-run homer tied the game and Shane Victorino’s leadoff homer in the 10th ended up winning it for the Philadelphia Phillies, as they defeated the Rockies 4-3 at Coors Field. Huston Street recorded the first two outs in the ninth in order before giving up a double to Carlos Ruiz and the game-tying dinger to Mayberry. Victorino homered off Rex Brothers for the winning run. The big blasts negated a strong seven and one third inning start from Jhoulys Chacin and home runs from Seth Smith and Chris Iannetta for the Rockies.
