Although the NFL’s free agency period has seen players agree to new contracts with their new teams, free agents aren’t officially allowed to practice with their teams until the league’s players have ratified the new collective bargaining agreement and the official new league year begins. The earliest the league year can begin is 4 PM Eastern time, if, as expected, the CBA is ratified. With that in mind, several teams, the Denver Broncos included, have moved back the start times of their workouts for today in order to have them start after the league year begins, so that their free agent signings can join the workouts. The Broncos have signed five free agents from other teams; wide reciever David Anderson, defensive linemen Derrick Harvey and Ty Warren, and tight ends Daniel Fells and Dante Rosario. The Broncos workout is scheduled for 4:50 Mountain time this afternoon.
