Broncos Continue Workouts, Orton Continues Taking First-Team Snaps

The quarterbacking controversy at Denver Broncos training camp continues to provide drama, but not in terms of who is coming out ahead in the competition to start games under center. Kyle Orton continued to take snaps with the first team at workouts at Dove Valley yesterday, and has outperformed both Tim Tebow and Brady Quinn throughout the truncated training camp. The NFL’s league year officially began yesterday afternoon after the players association ratified the ten-year collective bargaining agreement. The Broncos worked out late in the afternoon so that their newly-signed and re-signed free agents could practice with the team. Returning players Brian Dawkins, Matt Prater, Ryan McBean and Wesley Woodyard joined newcomers Ty Warren, Derrick Harvey, Daniel Fells, Dante Rosario and Willis McGahee on the field.
