The North Platte Knights and Lady Knights were in action last night at McCook. In the first game of the double-header, a late comeback fell short as the Lady Knights were defeated by the Lady Indians 86-69. North Platte trimmed a 23-point second-half deficit down to 10 with five minutes to play, but would get no closer. Paige Hasty’s 18 points led the Lady Knights in the loss. The Lady Knights fall to 12-9 on the season. In the men’s game, a 15-2 first half run gave the Knights a lead they would never relinquish in a 63-47 triumph over the Indians. Tim Simmons poured in a season-high 19 points to lead the Knights, who improved to 16-4 with their fourth straight win. The Knights and Lady Knights are back in action on Thursday night. They host the Eastern Wyoming College Lancers and Lady Lancers at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium.
