Today in Lincoln County District Court…
Chad Hall pleaded not guilty in two cases, one that charges him with Theft by Unlawful Taking of greater than $500 and less than $1,500, a class 4 felony, and another case where he is charged with two felony counts of Possession of a Firearm by Prohibited Person and being a habitual criminal charge, also a felony.
Hall was arrested on January 11th, 2013 after a warrant executed search led to the discovery of multiple allegedly stolen firearms at Hall’s residency. Hall is a convicted felon.
A request for bond reduction was denied and Hall is due back in court on March 11th.
Dakota Niles pleaded not guilty in district court to a 1st Degree Sexual Assault charge and faces the possibility of a 50 year prison sentence if convicted. Niles was arrested on October 9th after an interview by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies which was sparked by an 14-year-old female minor accusing him of sexual assault on October 8th. The victim alleges that Niles knew she was 14-years-old when the five allege sexual assaults occurred between spring 2012 and October 6th 2012.
Niles is charged with the class 2 Felony, out on bond since January 3rd, 2013, and is due back in court on May 14th for a jury trial.
