The North Platte Knights and Lady Knights entertained McCook last night at McDonald-Belton Gymnasium. In the women’s game, the shorthanded Lady Knights kept it close all night, but the Lady Indians were able to hold them off for a 70-61 victory. Jordan Dickerson and Candace Shelton led the Lady Knights with 11 points. The defeat is their fifth in a row and drops them to 12-12 on the season. The men’s game saw the Knights fall behind by 18 points in the first half, but they clawed their way back and outlasted the Indians 77-65. Five Knights scored in double figures in the win. Damon Brown led the way with 18 points, and Ben Wilson delivered a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. The Knights improve to 21-5 with the victory. The Knights and Lady Knights host Southeast Friday night and Central Saturday in their final home games of the season.
