Up In Smoke: Russia Bans Smoking in Public

vladimir-putinRussian President Vladimir Putin is banning smoking in several public places – and will be limiting the sale of cigarettes starting this June.

While here in America we’re getting used to big-time restrictions on smoking, the Russians are going out of their minds because of the new laws.

The World Health Organization says that nearly 60 percent of Russian men smoke.

Except for places like hospitals or schools, you were pretty much allowed to smoke wherever you wanted, at any time.

Not anymore.

Putin plans to stop people from smoking while on the job, at restaurants, on boats, in subways, and on long distance trains
