A 26-year-old Lincoln woman has been given two to four years in prison for a fatal hit-and-run case.
Kinley Queen pleaded no contest and was convicted in November of leaving the scene of an injury accident and causing serious injury. Authorities say Queen didn’t stop the night of March 29, 2012, after her vehicle hit 50-year-old William Springer while he was trying to walk across North Antelope Valley Parkway. She surrendered on March 31.
Queen was sentenced on Thursday.
Her attorney had asked for probation, saying Springer’s blood alcohol content was nearly four times the legal limit had he been driving that night.
In court Thursday, Queen said she is truly sorry for not stopping.
