UNL Chancellor Discusses Zombies, YOLO and Campus in Series of Online Videos

harvey-pearlmanA series of online videos featuring the chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln includes his thoughts about a zombie apocalypse, the expression YOLO and the virtues of his capital city campus.

Chancellor Harvey Perlman told the Associated PressĀ in an email that there’s nothing sinister behind the quiet campaign. Perlman says he’s “just trying to be helpful.”

Perlman says in one that Lincoln is one of the biggest cities in the Big Ten and brags that UNL has a professor who skateboards to class.

Advertising and public relations major Megan Tynecki says she thinks the videos are funny, but “some of them are trying a little too hard.”

YOLO is an Internet expression that stands for, “You only live once.” Left unsaid is whether that would include zombies.
