Rox Lose One-Run Game, Finish Series This Afternoon

The Colorado Rockies squandered multiple offensive opportunities in a 3-2 loss to the Cincinnati Reds last night in Cincinnati. The Rockies had 13 hits in the game, including a solo home run by Troy Tulowitzki, but stranded 15 runners on base and had the tying run tagged out at third base on a ground ball to third for the final out of the game. Starting pitcher Kevin Millwood threw seven strong innings in his Rockies debut, just one day after being signed by the team, but gave up three solo home runs, the last to reigning NL MVP Joey Votto leading off the sixth inning that proved to be the game winner. The Rockies still have a chance to win the four-game series with the Reds in today’s series finale matinee. ESPN Radio 1410 has the call with pregame coverage starting at 11:05 AM and first pitch at 11:35.
